sleepless nights

So last night Ben decided to party it up... which left mommy up from 1am-7am.... yup. how wonderful. It's a lot of work pumping... I wish Ben would just latch, and latch for good! It might be easier to feed him, instead of trying to get up before him, pumping, bottle it, feed him, burp him, cuddle him, put him down, get up to get the soother, wrap him, change him.. and the list goes on! I had a rough night and let my husband sleep. which then left me in tears all day. I did manage to sleepa little when Ben slept today but it is still a broken sleep with an hour here and there. But then today as he slept on me with his little squishy face made me realize it was all worth it, even though I am still crying due to lack of sleep. and I still have to go to work tonight. I don't think my husband realizes how much work I really do. It's not all fun and games while he is at work... oh well. This sweet little face makes the world go round and makes everything alright again.

I love being a mommy! and a stay at home mom. But luckily I can still work from home and make some money to help out. I have a wonderful husband who helps out so much after a very long day at work. I love that we can tag team when Ben is being fussy or having a bad night. He's a great baby and takes after me when it comes to sleeping! He's a champ! He usually gets up at 1am to fed, and 3am and then again at 6am. We have been very blessed to have a wonderful, easy going, happy go lucky baby - unless he is starving or being changed then you know he has a good set of lungs! He loves to cuddle and we love when he is awake and brighteyed staring at you.

I always thought I would be bored as a stay at home mom, but it hasn't been too bad. I have trouble sleeping when the baby sleeps during the day - but I have been keeping busy with keeping the house clean. I can't do too much yet , so my floors need washing and my rugs need a vacuum but that can wait. I think Jon is enjoying coming home to a clean-ish house.

Over all Ben is a great baby. We are still learning on how to latch but otherwise he is only breastmilk fed from a bottle. And has been gaining weight like a champ too. He lost nearly a pound after birth and is now back up to 10lbs, 2oz! I am just in love with him! He's too sweet for words!

11 days overdue. Born via csection on October 28, 2010! Benjamin is finally here! He's a dream baby! We are over themoon with him! oh and he weighed 10lbs 10 oz!
